Snakes, Stings and Bites

Saturday, June 12 at 10 a.m.-Learn about outdoor summer safety including how to properly identify poisonous snakes, and other hazards such as bites and stings.

Kids’ Day of Nature Play

Saturday, July 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m- Children of all ages are welcome to a free event celebrating summer! Education stations will be set up throughout the garden with crafts and show-and-tell booths including butterflies, carnivorous plants, recycling, snakes and more. Bring beginner gardeners and nature enthusiasts to Warren’s Southern Gardens to enjoy a day of outdoor entertainment and a watermelon snack.

 

Irrigation Installation and Repairs

Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m.- Attend this informative session that focuses on the steps involved with installing an irrigation system and how to complete do-it-yourself minor repairs.

Let’s Talk Turf

Saturday, August 7 at 10 a.m.- Discover the key to achieve a great lawn during this lecture! Learn about watering and brown patch, as well as the variety of fungus and insects that attack grass.
 

 

Terrariums

Saturday, August 28 at 10 a.m.–A terrarium is a collection of compatible plants grown in an enclosed, or partially enclosed, clear container. Learn all about how to create a practical and fun indoor “miniature landscape” using ferns and other small plants during this session.
